Is This Forever Screening + Q&A Session

Is This Forever is about a teenage boy called Lucca Di Stefano who is deeply loved by all and missed every single day. Lucca’s brother Charlie wrote, directed and starred in the film. The film has won over 40 awards.
“Is This Forever” is a poignant true story that chronicles the transformative journey of a teenage boy grappling with his own grief and his brother’s mental health challenges. Amidst the complexities of their experiences, the narrative explores the profound bond of brotherhood, revealing layers of love, respect, and shared struggles. Through a heartwarming and heartrending exploration, the protagonist discovers the resilient strength that arises from familial connections, ultimately offering a moving portrayal of personal growth and the enduring power of love.
A special Q&A session will be held after the 25-minute screening, with Director/Actor Charlie DiStefano and Bob Davis from Hard Yakka.

Charlie Di Stefano, Actor/Director
An award-winning filmmaker, Charlie brings a fresh perspective on storytelling, having written, directed, and starred in the international festival-winning short film Is This Forever. His journey demonstrates the power of personal stories and determination in independent filmmaking.
Amy Friesen, Actress/Producer
With a strong track record in regional filmmaking and production, Amy will share her experience in developing projects from the Fraser Coast and building connections that extend beyond regional borders
Nicole Payten-Betts, Actress/Producer
Known for her dynamic performances and growing body of production work, Nicole brings valuable insights into balancing on-screen roles with producing responsibilities in Australia’s evolving screen industry.
Tanya Ellen, Head of Content, Screen Queensland
Tanya Ellen has produced some of the biggest shows to hit Australian living rooms, including Big Brother, MasterChef, and Gogglebox. She also thrived in live broadcast production on The Weather Channel, Stargazing Live, and Sunrise. With a successful sidestep into entertainment law, Tanya negotiated contracts and deals for film and television before moving into executive leadership.
Now as Head of Content at Screen Queensland, Tanya leads her team with innovation and strategy, driving opportunities for practitioners across television, film, and the online space. Her insights will give attendees a deeper understanding of where the industry is heading and the opportunities available for regional creatives.
